Dodge Shift Knob Removal
Removal of the Dodge Ram Shift Knob may be a little puzzling at first. It's really simple once you get a look at how it's done.
Take a small screwdriver or something that you can get between the shift pattern cap and the plastic edge of the knob. Get the screwdriver under the lip of the cap and lift the cap out of the knob.
This will expose the nut that holds the shift lever on. It's at this point that you realize why you can twist with all your might, but the knob won't budge. With a 15mm socket, undo the nut, and the knob will unscrew from the shaft. Save the nut for use with your new billet shift knob if required. The threads on the lever are 10mm x 1.5.
Install the nut on the shaft and then install the knob. Lock the two together so your new knob doesn't spin on the shaft.
